Magnolia Companies Supports Local Officers for Annual Police Unity Tour

St. Rose, LA January 2021 – The St. Charles Parish Sherriff’s Office works tirelessly to ensure the safety of the entire Parish’s citizens, often at the expense of their own safety.

Recently, Glen Smith and Gary Smith of GSmith Motorsports & The Magnolia Companies of LA, LLC were honored with a visit from some of St. Charles Parish’s finest, all in support of an amazing cause.

The Police Unity Tour, a bicycle ride that covers 350 miles over a four day period, will be rolling again this coming May. Detective Kevin Tennison, Corporal Steven Mahan, and Sergeant Thomas Plaisance will be representing the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office this year.

The Police Unity Tour rides in honor of officers lost in the line of duty, as well as raises funds for the updating and maintenance of the memorial wall dedicated to fallen officers.

From the Police Unity Tour’s website, since its inception in 1997, the Tour, now over 2500 members strong, has donated over 30 million dollars to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund.
